St. Philip's First Annual
OPEN GARDENS TOUR & TEA
May 10, 2003
(Mother's Day Weekend)
Mark your calendars
and join us for a fun day!

We now have 6 gardens, all in Scotts Valley, including the gardens of three St. Philip's families: Dave and Michele Sanguinetti, Julie and Martin Levy and Val and Nancy Jackson.
The Gardens will be open for touring from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the Tea will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m

This event will take place the day before Mothers' Day, so it would make an excellent gift for someone special!

We are also planning to have plants and garden art available for sale, as well as raffle items including a beautiful quilt donated by Julie Levy and a wooden potting bench made by Val Jackson.
Donna Seelbach has generously offered to teach a class on Mosaic Stepping Stones which we will be selling at the event.
Please join us to make a stepping stone for our sale! We will be using tiles, broken china and glass marbles as well as many other items. Donna will provide a stepping stone for each person as well as the adhesive and grout. Please bring tiles, old dishes, glass marbles, etc. to share.

If you would like to make something for yourself, please bring an item (stepping stone, clay pot, wooden objects, bird bath, picture frame, etc.) as well as tiles, dishes, etc.
If you are willing to make a stepping stone for the sale, there will no charge. But, if you would like one for yourself,  there will be a charge of $10 per person for Donna's time and $5 for materials adhesive, grout, etc.)
Please sign up on the sheet on the Church
foyer table.
We are still looking for people to help at this event Garden Tour and the Tea), so please contact Sheryl or Nancy if you are available.
Thank you!!Sheryl McEwan

Music Notes

We take requests!  Please let us know what you'd like to sing or hear by putting a note in the music box on the table outside the sanctuary.  Recordings are fine and sheet music is great.  We'll see if we can pull it off.
Choir will meet 1st and 4th Sundays after church.  Music for the 4th Sunday service will tend to be more contemporary.  If you'd like to play guitar or bass at this service, let Shelley know.
