“Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord the King of Israel!” (John 12: 12 - 16) |
|
Dear Friends, I am eager to walk the coming days of remembrance of Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection with you and our whole community. I pray that we may find our faith renewed and rekindled, our spirits lifted, and our eyes and hearts opened to God’s great love and forgiveness for each of us. Plan on participating in as many of these Holy Week experiences as you can. Invite your friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers to share something you find meaningful. Be prepared for the surprising grace and forgiveness of God who cares passionately about us all. Beyond these momentous and wonderful events, I want to commend to you the hard work of so many in our congregation engaged in a variety of tasks from Garden Tour and Liturgical Art to Sunday School and Bishop’s Committee. Our Bishop’s Committee had a good Planning Day last month and set Evangelism, Pastoral Care, Sunday School and Music/Worship as our highest priorities for this coming year. May God grant you and your family a holy Lent and a joyful Easter! Yours in Christ, Martin |
