Spring Garden Tour and
English Tea

Sat., May 8, 2004

Plans are under way for St. Philip’s Second Annual Spring Garden Tour and Tea.

We are planning to have 6 to 8 new gardens included in this year’s tour and are currently seeking gardens.
Gardens are needed, so if you would like your garden to be considered, or know of someone who would, please let us know as soon as possible. We hope to “spread out” this year and are looking for gardens in Scotts Valley, Felton, Santa Cruz, etc.

Also, we would again like to have garden-related art items for sale at the Church during the Tea Luncheon. If you would like to have items for sale, or would consider donating one or more items, please contact us.

The Mosaic Workshop held last year in preparation for the Garden Tour was a huge success and we had lots of fun making mosaic stepping stones. We will again be holding a workshop to make mosaic items (pots, stepping stones, birdhouses, etc.) some time in March. Look for more details in the next newsletter.

Text Box: A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin, 5, Ryan 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. "If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.'" Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, "Ryan, you be Jesus!"
