Communication is the Bridge that Links People to PeopleBy now, you should each have received a communication from a member of the Bishop’s Committee. The purpose of our call to each of you was to let you know that we are your liaison during the time that we are without a priest. If you are not sure who your liaison person is, or you have any concerns that you would like to raise, call me and I will put you in touch with the right person. Your Bishop’s Committee will be meeting on the first and the third Monday of every month. I shall make announcements at the end of the service to keep you all abreast of any news that comes out of these meetings. Finally, just to make sure you don't miss out on any of the exciting news, we shall be devoting the bulletin board outside the office to news of the transition. Watch that space!! In Christ, |
Dinner Group ScheduleOctober 30 November 6 November 13 The Dinner-fellowship groups are a wonderful experience and in this time of Martin`s leaving, it is more important than ever for us to get to know each other in a close and warm and fun setting. I will put a sign-up sheet in the lobby when I return for all interested St Philip’s members. I warmly encourage all past participants, first-time participants, and continuing participants to sign up for a true sharing and fellowship experience for the 2005 year. Again, bon appetit! Also, you may want to make an Anniversary Weekend. The weekend has changed – you may have too. The next one is scheduled for Nov. 19-21, 2004 at The Wyndham Garden Hotel, Pleasanton, CA. Please contact: Curt & Arlene McClelland, 2191 Casa Mia, San Jose, CA 95124 or go to: www.episcopalme.com Registration is limited; a quick response is encouraged. |

Garden NewsWe had a really nice workday on October 9. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and lots of good work got done too. We will have another workday in January to clean up after Christ-mess aka Christmas, so if you missed this one, don't fret, another opportunity to help is just around the corner. Thanks to Tom Rolly, good work is being done on the conduit to hold wiring to our sign! We are still looking for gardens for our 2005 Spring Garden tour. This is a wonderful fellowship event. If you would be willing to loan your garden to the Lord, for use in building up his kingdom, on that Saturday, please contact Sheryl McEwan. Help for tidying up tour gardens is available. Sheryl and I both have trucks, and will help you prepare; you just need to have an open and willing heart. We are still also welcoming donations of flower pots for selling plants we propagate. We especially welcome donations of 4-inch pots. Please put them near the tool shed, and I will take care of them from there. This winter and spring season, we will be having several propagation and garden craft parties during coffee hour. I will let you know the dates as soon as I figure them out. It is a joy to continue to serve with you in this mission field in Scotts Valley. Love in Christ, Tina Grubbe, |
