How Much Dough Can a Dough Roller Roll if Rolling Dough Rolls in the Dough?

Remember - We’ll be packaging cookie mix in jars after the 10 am service on Oct. 10th. These will be sold at the Harvest Festival and Holiday Fair the following weekend. Plan now to join us! Come as you are – all ingredients will be supplied. It’ll be great fun and many hands make light work! There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer so we can get some idea of how many can help, but if you haven’t signed up, don’t let that stop you. Just come!

Also remember to sign up to bring some goodies for the bake sale that will be part of the Harvest Festival on the 16th. We need cookies, breads, pies, brownies, fudge, toffee, etc. etc. The more goodies we have for sale, the more everyone will enjoy the event, and the more we will be able to contribute to St. Philip’s. If you have questions, contact Sara
DeRouchey.

St. Philip’s Work Day

Come help us get our church and church grounds in shape for our upcoming Harvest Fair Fundraiser.

Our Work Day will be on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9 am to 2 pm. This is likely the last chance you will get to play “Turn the Hose on the Vicar” so come on out, do some work, and have some fun!

Gardens Needed

If you know of a beautiful garden that would make a nice addition to our 2005 Spring Garden Tour, please contact Sheryl McEwan.

Farewell Party in the Works

A St. Philip’s and Scotts Valley Community Farewell Party for the Yabroff family has been tentatively scheduled for 5 pm on Oct. 24th. Further details and notice of any changes in the date and time will be announced at Sunday services.

Marriage Encounter

Does God care about your marriage? You bet!

Find out how much on an Episcopal Marriage Encounter weekend! Marriage Encounter is 44 hours where married couples can get away from jobs, kids, chores, and phones – and focus only on each other. If you’d like greater depth, growth, and enrichment in your relationship, you’ll like the difference an Episcopal Marriage Encounter weekend can make.

Weekends are scheduled for Oct. 8-10 in Sunnyvale, and Nov. 19-21 in Pleasanton. For more information or to register (and you are cordially invited to register) contact: Curt & Arlene McClelland or go to: www.episcopalme.com  Registration is limited so a quick response is encouraged. St. Philip’s John and Janet Duncan will be the clergy couple at both of these weekends.

Yoooo-Hoooo!!! Dinner’s Ready, Come and Get It!

Dear Dinner Group Participants,
I am going to arrange the dinner groups from Vermont as we will not be returning until November 4. I will do this mostly by email. If you prefer to contact me by phone, we have an answering machine. You can also write to me.

It will be quite important to do two things: (1) choose as many dates as possible to make it easier to arrange groups to meet different people and (2) please respond as promptly as possible.

The dates for this round are: Sat. Oct. 23, Sat. Oct. 30, Sat. Nov. 6, and Sat. Nov. 13. (Sundays have received only one or two replies).

Thank you for your cooperation and we're looking forward to returning to St Philip’s and all our friends and activities. Bon appetite!

             Bill Lages, Dinner Group Coordinator
