Nothing says “I love you” like the gift of food. And since cookies are just about everyone’s favorite treats, what better way to say “I love you” than with cookies? Well, there is a better way, one that will keep on giving and that includes that fresh-from-the-oven cookie aroma (sometimes that’s even better than eating the cookies)! We’re talking cookie mix in a jar! We’ll be doing a group project October 9 after the 10 am service to make up some cookie mixes in jars to sell at the Harvest and Holiday Fair on October 16. Many hands will make light work as we do it in assembly line fashion. Plan now to join in the fun and save that date on your calendar!! Look for sign-up sheets later this month and/or contact Sara DeRouchey for more information. |
Antique & Collectibles FaireAll Saints is organizing an Antique & Collectibles Faire for October 2, 10 am - 4 pm. If you have items which you would like to get out of the garage or attic, we will be happy to come & pick them up. We’re looking for things that are antique, old, or collectible (this covers a pretty wide range!). If you have questions, give us a call. We have space for 100 vendors at $50 a space (deals possible from our sister parishes). We will have complete advertising coverage. The Faire will include live music, a barbecue, and a children’s game area. It’s going to be a lot of fun, so we wanted you to be the first to know. Blessings, |
Dinner GroupsThe fellowship small dinner groups will resume after the Harvest Fair. The dates are: Oct. 23, Oct. 30, Nov. 6 and Nov. 13. Please select all possible dates to ensure variety in the groups. If you have changed your e-mail address please let me know as I will be handling this from Vermont. We will return Nov. 4. These are wonderful occasions and if there are some of you wanting to participate for the first time or again after a lapse, please let me know. I will e-mail each one of you reminders. We will be visiting Halifax, Nova Scotia next month and plan to see St Paul’s there, the oldest Anglican church in North America still having services (1650). Bon appetite! Looking forward to returning to St Philip’s. Bill Lages, Dinner Group Coordinator |
