News from Sunday School

Our combined Summer classes have been exploring some unique ways to worship. We explored dancing with the Hellgren-Allen's teaching the children an ancient form of dance from the British Isles. We made bells for our ankles and used sticks to celebrate and dance before the Lord. We celebrated like early Christians by dressing up, preparing treats and welcoming other Christians to share treats for coffee hour. We learned that Lydia, an early Christian was a wealthy cloth merchant, so we dyed our own purple cloth.

In August we are planning our first stuffed animal party. Everyone in Sunday School should bring their favorite stuffed animal on Aug. 21.
