The youth group has done a lot of neat stuff over the summer and the middle schoolers have become very close knit as a group.  The high schoolers love meeting without younger kids so we separated the two groups again this fall. They have decided on "adventure-based ministry" so we're going to go with that for a while.  Their first adventure is this Sunday Sept 25 , with lunch and a weird movie, then we meet Saturday October 1 at Watsonville airport for a Young Eagles event.  Senior high events will be mostly scheduled for Sunday afternoons, with no midweek events. Flyers will be mailed, emailed, and posted in the Foyer at least 2 weeks before each event.

Sunday School Treasure Chest

The real treasures of regular Sunday School attendance are learning how to grow closer to God through Bible stories and developing friendships in a loving Christian community.  However, we would like to be able to provide more tangible incentives to the kids!  We want to reward Sunday School attendance by inviting children to chose a gift from a Treasure Box after 5 sessions. If you have any small toys, books, party favors, candy or such items to donate to our treasure chest, please pass them on to either Julie O'Brien or Vicky Granger-Jones.

Summer Heifer Project Read-to-Feed

Llamas, chickens, goats, and bees will be sent to needy communities in the USA and around the world thanks to the members of our Sunday School.  Gillian, Katie, Katrina, Jessica, Jonathan, Marissa, and Seth read 257 books between them and managed to collect just over $1000.00 in sponsorship money. YAY!
