Sat. October 15, 2005  9:00 am to 3:00 pm

We are happy to report that all 24 booths have been spoken for and we are looking forward to a wonderful 2005 Arts and Crafts Fair!

Six St. Philip’s members, Nancy Connor, Val Jackson, Ying Liang, Kim Schultz Donna Seelbach, and Todd Corgill will be selling their artwork and crafts. Be sure to come by and support our members.

We will continue our tradition of displaying quilts from St. Philip’s members and friends in the Sanctuary and breezeway. We have had requests in the past for quilts to purchase, so if you have a quilt you would like to sell, please contact Julie Levy or Karen Krestensen.

The event would not happen without the members of St. Philip’s! We depend on you for a few hours of your time to help before, during, or after the event.  As we get closer to the event, we will have sign ups for help, so be sure to mark the date on your calendar!

Lucy Gowan has again agreed to coordinate the food sales and bake sale, which are both very popular and bring in lots of money! Last year the food sales/bake sale netted over $900! St. Philip’s members have a great reputation for providing excellent baked goods, so please keep that tradition alive by baking!

We are also continuing to offer the beautiful and fragrant Christmas Wreaths with pre-sales. St. Philip’s benefits by receiving a good percentage of the sales, so think about ordering a wreath for yourself and for Christmas gifts!

Be sure to mark Oct. 15 on your calendar and plan to come by to get some early Christmas shopping done!!

Any questions please give us a call.

Facilities Report

The very big facilities story this month is the great effort by our congregation replacing the roof over the parish hall. It had to be accomplished by this winter- and we made it.

Take a look at our Blue Room. Now it is a slightly darker blue with virtually new carpet donated and cleaned by Susan Seaburg. It looks new and smells new. Thank You Susan!

Please make extra certain that doors and windows are closed and locked as there is a person who has been sneaking into the church and causing mischief.

If you like, we could organize a "toss out the old junk" party. I love the symbolism.

Once again this year we are planning to sell cookie-mixes-in-a-jar at the Harvest and Holiday Fair. These were a big hit last year. If you are interested in helping prepare the jars, contact Sara DeRouchey.

New recipes and other ideas for mixes-in-jars are always welcome too.
