Our Fourth Annual Arts and Crafts Fair was a wonderful success. Even though the day was at times cool and damp, it was warm and inviting at St. Philip’s! Our parking lot was full all day long and we seemed to have a continuous stream of shoppers. We heard lots of comments about the excellent variety of crafts offered, the beautiful quilt display and friendly and helpful Church members!

We are waiting for the final advertising bills, but estimate we will net between $3500 and $4000, roughly the same amount as last year!

We are very appreciative of the support of our congregation and willingness to volunteer at this event. We have many people to thank for helping to make the Craft Fair such a success:

THANK YOU TO:

· Sara DeRouchey for coordinating our advertising. We were able to place paid ads in the Scotts Valley Banner and Santa Cruz Sentinel. In addition several other local papers included us in their calendars! We were even on TV!! Sara also designed our flyers and Ads! Thank you Sara!! Thank you also to Jack Doscher for his continuing support and assistance to Sara.

· Lucy Gowan for again organizing the food concession. The menu was excellent and everyone appreciated the warm soups and choices of sandwiches.  Lucy also organized the Bake Sale! We had a fantastic assortment of baked goods. Especially popular were the quiches and pies as well as cookies, brownies and cakes. Thanks go to Sara DeRouchey for organizing the “Cookie Mix in a Jar” and donating all of the supplies!

· Everyone who contributed to the Bake Sale and/or food concession You obviously made a difference and helped in our fund raising efforts!! I think there are still some pies left in the freezer for sale!! Hint, hint!!!
