Lenten Services: Every Wednesday in Lent there will be a Holy Eucharist service at noon. Please remember that there will be no Compline services on Wednesday evenings during Lent.
Altar Guild Flower Fund: The Easter flower donation envelopes are now available. You are invited to contribute in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving for a special person or event. The suggested donation is $35.00.
Holy Week Schedule:
April 13th, Maundy Thursday service at 7:00pm
April 14th, Good Friday Liturgy service at 12:00pm
April 15th, Great Vigil of Easter service, 8:00pm
April 16th, Easter Sunday services at 8:00am and 10:00am
The Episcopal Marriage Encounter weekend is April 21-23 in Pleasanton, CA. The Episcopal Marriage Encounter weekend is for married couples to focus only on each other. Please contact Curt and Arlene McClelland, 408-371-5581, curt (at) sbcglobal.net or register online at www.episcopalme.com.
Congratulations to Lucy Gowan on the birth of her third grandchild! Aram Lucas Foz, the first child of Joby and Alexander Foz was born on Tuesday, March 14th. Little Aram weighed in at 7lbs, 11oz! Joby is Lucy Gowan’s daughter.
Bulletin Announcements: The deadline to have an announcement entered into the weekly bulletin is Wednesday at 3pm. Please keep the announcement length under 55 words. Some announcements may be postponed if there is a lack of space in the bulletin. You will be notified if this is the case. All announcements and advertisements submitted by the congregation are welcome. Announcements about weddings, engagements, births, deaths, funerals and showers are also welcome! You can call Mardi in the office (438-4360), drop off a note in the office, or email Mardi at stphilip@got.net.
St Philip’s Spring work day: The Spring cleaning / work day is scheduled for Saturday, April 1st, beginning at 9am until 2pm. There will be a soup lunch offered. You are encouraged to bring a crock pot of soup to share. Please see Barbara Lyon for more details.
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) will hold their Annual meeting on Saturday, April 29, 2006. They will honor women from across the diocese. The meeting will take place at The Church of Good Shepherd in Salinas, starting at 9:30am Lunch will be provided. To register call President Jane Pomeroy at 408-263-8485.
Did You Know?? Debby Dodds and Bill DeRouchey have rented all but one upstairs unit. Sara DeRouchey is stepping down as the refreshment coordinator. Thank you for all your hard work as the refreshment coordinator Sara! Laura Gonzalez is coordinating the Garden Tour this year as well as being the Acolyte Director. Tamah is developing a Sr. Acolyte program with Laura, as well as working with Carter Potts to select youth music for special services and working on a name for the middle school music group. Cindy Hershberger and Donna Seelbach have been volunteering in the office going through 16 years worth of files and helping Mardi with organizing all the files. Bruce Clift has come to Mardi’s rescue by laying out the bulletin in booklet form. Bill DeRouchey is our new Treasurer. Jong An is our new Bookkeeper.
