One of the best acoustic bands performing today, these three music mavericks perform original compositions written with the energetic spirit and "icy" edge of traditional Scandinavian music. "... could be the most significant Swedish export since the Vikings." On a local note, Olov worked with our own celebrity cellist Barry Phillips on Barry's latest album, performing Roger's music. Check out www.noside.com and www.vasen.se for pictures, bios, press clips and sound bites.

$10 suggested donation to benefit the Community Music School's unofficial AFLAC program, to go directly to a very popular fiddle teacher who has been unable to teach for two months due to a serious illness.

Those of you who know of whom we write and speak, please contact the school directly if you would like to donate time, talent or money to this concert. If you don't know her, you can still donate; we can vouch for this person, and say that she must be helped to get well as soon as possible!

The Community Music School of Santa Cruz, a non-profit organization that offers free referrals to local music teachers, presents educational concerts and events every month, and runs two Celtic Camps for kids and teens each summer in the redwoods.
