This month: Craig Turek MFC, a marriage and family therapist

Meet Craig Turek MFC, a marriage and family therapist and our first, ever faithful renter.  Craig found St. Philip’s office suites before any of our renovation work had been done.  That means he patiently waited while we added lighting, painted, changed the carpeting and upgraded the facility.  He was attracted to the facility because it was consistent with how he runs his practice, comfortable, private and a helpful part of the community.

Craig received his graduate degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. In his 17 years of practice he has specialized in helping teenagers and families. 

His focus is on family dynamics in the systems way.  Depending upon his clients needs, he sees patients on both long and short-term basis.  His services are covered by many insurance plans.

He maintains a fulltime practice in San Jose, and works evenings here in Scotts Valley where he lives and is raising his 13 year-old son.  His daughter just graduated from Pacific Collegiate in Santa Cruz and will be attending Mills College in the fall. This month: Patrizia Materassi of Sustainable Development and Planning

Our newest renter, is multicultural, multitalented, Patrizia Materassi of Sustainable Development and Planning.  She is a Certified Green Planner, with 20 years experience in City Planning and Zoning.  Her grandparents are from Italy and she was born and raised in Brazil.  She speaks, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.  She has an architecture degree from Brazil and her masters in Urban Planning from UCLA.

In her business Patrizia specializes in helping individuals and developers complete their building plans in a timely and an environmentally friendly way.  She helps people process plans, get their permits, eliminate violations from properties and build in a green way.  That means her planning strives to include energy efficiency, healthy air quality in the building and conservation of natural resources.

Patrizia rents our double office suite and is looking for other related green professionals such as designers, developers and sustainable builders to share the space, and create a synergistic environment.  She has been very successful and employs a personal philosophy of helping the individual while being an asset to the community.
