Important request: All activities at the church must be cleared with Pastor Mary and scheduled on the master calendar in the office to avoid double scheduling. September Calendar: The September calendar is available in the foyer as well as in the weekly bulletin. Who Am I? Pastor Mary would like each family to provide her with your family information (birthdays, children, etc.), and picture on an index card which will be handed out during church services. This will also help update all family information for the directory. You can leave your card in the office on Mardi’s desk. Grateful thanks to: Pastor Mary and Jim Blessing for donating a game table for the youth room. Thank you to Annie Warr for being the facility manager for the month of August. Thanks to Bill DeRouchey and Annie Warr for fixing the leak so quickly in the office. Thank you Barbara Lyon for organizing the clean up days at the church. Thank you Barbara and Valerie Sims-Johnson for painting the Vicar’s office, and thank you Barbara Lyon, Lucy Gowan, Tod Connor, and Francis Honey for painting the church office. It looks wonderful! A huge thank you to Graham and Pamela Willmott for clearing all the dead shrubs, plants and weeds in the front of the church! Please be sure to thank Father John for his wonderful service to the church for the past six months. He will be missed a great deal in the office! This is a poem that shows how much we appreciate him: |

A Giving Heart There are rare and special people/Who always give and give; To them it’s nothing special, /It’s just how they choose to live. They never are too busy, /No matter what the task; They seem to think of everything /Before you even ask. These people are quite special, /They’re rare and kind and few; We are thankful, though, that we have found /One of them in you! Author unknown |
