PIANO BENCHES WANTED

Used piano benches of good quality wanted for the electric and white pianos in the Community Room.  Also: used instruments for St. Philip’s Youth Group.

St Philip’s Dinner Groups

With the coming of the new pastor and a fresh and joyous start of a new St Philip’s era we need to commit to getting to know each other better and share our fellowship and ideas and aspirations with one another.

Would you please consider joining, as people of all ages are wanted. The Dinner Groups are not an "insider" event, they are open to all in St Philip’s.

The host determines the menu and assigns others to bring the main course, dessert, salad, vegetable, drinks, or whatever moves the spirit. I try to mix the groups so over the years we all get to know one another.

Dog Sitter Needed

Two-year-old Chloe is looking for a short-term home while her owners are traveling. Chloe is a friendly yellow lab mix.  St. Philip’s Office Space Renters, Allan and Lisa Peevers, will be spending 6 months, primarily in South America, traveling.

Starting in Guatemala, they will be working and volunteering in hospitals while they travel. They have back-up sitters in the area, but are looking for a primary home for Chloe while they are gone.

Back To School Brunch

It's time again to get the hair cut and do the school shopping for that long list of school essentials: clothes, shoes, binder paper and backpacks, as our younger members return to school for the 2006-2007 school year. 

On Sept. 10 at the 10 am service, Rev. Mary Blessing will bless the children's backpacks and we shall pray for a safe, happy, and healthy school year for the children. 

We ask that each child bring a backpack of their own to be blessed. In addition, if you can as you shop, please buy some extra supplies for Valley Churches United who once again will be collecting for the children in the county who have a difficult time providing all that is now required in school.  How about a couple of dictionaries, or calculators, or binders? 

After the service we shall have our Back To School Brunch.  Pastor Mary has yet to savor the culinary wonders of St. Philip’s, so it would be great if everyone could bring something to share...salads, fruit, veggies, dips, bagels, quiches, cookies, brownies, juice.  We do it all so well!!  We look forward to seeing everyone on the 10th.  Bring your neighbors, friends and family.  If you need advice on what to bring, please email .
