Of Calculators, Crayons, Cards, and Kindness

The school supplies, collected at the blessing of the backpacks, were delivered to Valley Churches United. The load filled the back of our station wagon, and were gratefully accepted by Annette Marcum and other volunteers. The staff was very interested in our event and plan to share it with other churches.

Our Sunday School children have been so successful in making cards for the members of the congregation who are ill, we have decided to expand our production. We'll be sending "thinking of you" wishes and maybe a goodie or two to our college students who are studying away from home.

To that end, Moms & Dads please let us know your college student’s address. Those of us who've been away know how exciting it is to get MAIL!

             Julie O’Brien, Sunday School Coordinator

Editor’s Note: I was one of the lucky recipients of a beautiful “Get Well” card from the Sunday School children—it was the best medicine in the world—warmest thanks to both Julie and her wonderful kids!  —KC
