We want to thank all of you again for the wonderful send-off you gave us!! The dinner on Oct. 13th was so special with the coveted round tables, covered with table clothes, real dishes, silverware, and flowers, and delicious salad, lasagna, bread and wine. What else would we have wanted?? Well, to add to that, out came wonderful apple pie! That was followed with heart warming words from many, which made us feel so special and loved. We were also serenaded by Nancy and Tod Connor with a song written by Nancy about us and then sung by everyone there. And if that wasn't enough, we were presented with an absolutely beautiful quilt made by Karen Krestensen and Sara DeRouchey. The colors are perfect and backed with a nice warm flannel, which we will get lots of use on these cold nights!

Greetings and Many Thanks from the Jacksons

On our last Sunday at St. Philip's, Oct. 22, we wanted to express what our church has meant to us and when Pastor Mary asked us to speak during the service, we thought it was the perfect time. Several people who couldn't attend the service on the 22nd asked about what we said, so we thought we would include it in the newsletter.

We will update you on our progress and send some pictures of our new home soon. In the meantime, we hope this finds you all well. Thank you again for the wonderful celebrations.

God Bless,

             Val and Nancy Jackson

Song of Farewell

Oh who do you know
That is willing to go
To the ends of the earth to help you?
To cook  build, or clean,
Well, you know who I mean….
It’s Nancy and Val, it’s these two!

They’ve always been there
To do anything anywhere
From birdhouses to baskets
There isn’t a task that’s
Too much for this hardworking pair!

Now there is this guy
Who is not very shy
If at church you should need a new roof
Or perhaps a new kitchen
Or a whole new addition
He’ll build it for you, he won’t goof!

This is our guy, Val
Who has always been such a great pal
With hammer and nails
We know he never fails
Just ask him—he’ll always know how!

Dear St. Philip's Family,

Greetings from Port Angeles, Washington!

We arrived here Fri. evening, Oct. 27. The next day was clear, sunny and maybe 60° - a beautiful day! However, Sunday the weather changed and it was very windy, cloudy and cold!! Yesterday and today there was frost on the ground and it was 29° at 9 a.m. - brrr!!!

Val's truck and car arrived yesterday as well as the moving containers. We are slowing unpacking them and now it really feels like we are moving in! We have had issues with Qwest, the local phone service and still don't have DSL, but we should have it by next week. In the meantime, I'm doing dial up which is so slow!! Also, the house phone number was wrong on the change of address cards I handed out. Sorry!
