Barbara Lyon Honored by ECW

The Episcopal Church Women held its annual meeting on April 29.  Among the honorees for Women of the Year was St. Philip’s own Barbara Lyon.  As Pastor Mary noted in her nominating letter, Barbara has served our congregation faithfully and tirelessly, in many capacities: Altar Guild Director, Junior Warden, Facilities Coordinator, Stewardship, Liturgical Arts, Server, and Lector.

Congratulations and thank you for everything, Barbara!!!

Seeking New Editor

The September 2007 issue of the St. Philip’s Newsletter will be my last as editor. After 4 years and 40 issues, it is time for some new blood. If the newsletter is to continue beyond September, we will need a new editor by the middle of August so that I can train them by having them help put out the September issue—I will not be involved with the newsletter after that issue has been produced.

I would like to offer my deepest gratitude to all of my regular contributors and everyone else who has been supportive of the newsletter in various ways since I have been editor—working with you has been an honor and a joy.

Anyone interested in taking over the job of editing the newsletter, please contact Karin Clift.

Thank you very much.
