Summer PledgesAh, Summer! Lazy days, swimming pools, lemonade, family vacations, church pledges. Ok, well maybe most of you wouldn’t automatically include that last item on the list of summer joys, but it belongs there nevertheless. Even in summer, the church bills keep coming: water, electricity, telephone, insurance, sanitation, mortgage and more. Pledges are a promise of regular support from the congregation and the yearly church budget is based on these promises. Please fulfill your promise to St. Philip’s by sending in your pledge each month, even the summer months, and by catching up on your pledges if you have fallen behind. The bills continue to come at the same time every month without fail and the constancy of your pledges keeps the lights on. Thank you very much for your support of the church we all use and love. |
